How does a custom Lamb work?
Upon paying your deposit, you will have successfully reserved your whole Lamb. All deposits are non-refundable. We will bring your beef into the butcher this fall, prior to which you will be notified.
All of our Lamb is processed at Lakehaven Meats, in Sturgeon Lake, MN. You will pay us $9.15/lbs hanging weight. You will pay Lakehaven Meats for the processing. When ready, you may pick up your Lamb directly from Lakehaven or you can coordinate with us if you would like your meat delivered. If you elect to have your meat delivered by Walker Farms you must take delivery by your assigned pick-up date or extra charges may apply! Please refer to the pickup section below.
When will my final bill be made accessible?
After we have been notified of the final weight of your side, you will receive an invoice which is due in full within 30 days of receipt.
When do I have to pick up my order by?
If you choose to pick up on-farm or elect to have Walker Farms Deliver your product, you will be required to take your order within 30 days of notification. Due to limited freezer space, if you do not pick up your product by the pick-up date, you will be charged 0.25 cents per lbs of product per month for freezer space rent. If know ahead of time that you would like to rent freezer space please email us at Liese@walkerfarmsmn.com and we will see if we can accommodate your request.
