Becky made all of Cohen's baby food, and have made all of Daphne's so far (except the occasionally needed prunes!!). I had not ventured to trying meat until now. It's super simple, I thought it was going to be harder and frankly kind of gross. It was neither!
Prep Time: 2 Minutes
Cook Time: 20 Minutes
Servings: 12 ounces of baby food
Ingredients
- (1 pkg) Chicken Tenders
- (1 Cup) Stock
- (1 tsp) Parsley
Directions
- Cut up 1 pkg of chicken tenders into cubes. (or about 2 chicken breasts)
- In a saucepan, but 1 tsp parsley, 1 cup stock (or water) and chicken cubes
- Bring to a boil, and then turn down to a simmer.
- Simmer for about 7-10 minutes until just cooked
Put whole pot of ingredients in a blender or food processor and puree until desired texture
I usually leave out 2-3 portions in the fridge and free the rest in 1-2oz portions. That way I can make fun combos for them with the other foods.
Example - chicken, carrots and nutmeg. Oatmeal, blueberries and PB. Avocado, banana, cauliflower, etc. Add a cube of chicken to any of your baby food purees for some extra protein for babe's growing brain.
